![]() ![]() It seems like this site is going in the right direction but I feel like the issue I listed above can affect peoples perception on certain games because the information isn't posted. Though, from what I've seen is that it still really is centered around what score a game received. I understand that OpenCritic isn't looking to become some complete archive. Even though, you can easily find those same sites with reviews posted for other games. This is just a example yet I have seen numerous games not have reviews included from some sites. The other three reviews ended up giving the second game 10/10. The other three reviews aren't included even though they were released around the same time. Yet, OpenCritic only list two of the reviews which only give the game 8/10. The second game was reviewed by the same five websites. The first game receives 9/10 from all five websites. Let's say that two games have reviews from the same two websites. I'm not sure stuff like this is happening because of priority to some games over others or simply because of error. Let alone some reviews for certain games are up while reviews from the same site isn't there for another game. Then you have even more sites that aren't even added which will reflect on the average score. The one reason is there are a bunch of sites that don't give scores. ![]() Listing these games as the best based on their score is kinda misleading. Though, one of the things that concerns me is touting games as the 2015 Hall of Fame on their site. I'm not counting this against OC but in general for most reviews. That will probably be something that will always exist no matter how much people complain. I can't tell you how many reviews I've read that said a lot of great things about a game but then gives it a 6 or 7. One of the issues I've always had was the scoring system which is still very unreliable. Now, I know that OpenCritic is still relatively new but I've seen people say how great it is compared to other sites. /r/GamePhysics - Clips of game physics shining and glitchingĭesign based on /r/FlatBlue created by /u/creesch./r/gaming4gamers - middle ground between purely-for-fun and more serious subreddits./r/GamingLeaksAndRumours - Leaks and Rumors. ![]() Posting unmarked spoilers will result in removal and warning, and posting spoilers with malicious intent will result in a ban.
